Two more bodies discovered in Mpeketoni

Police have discovered two more bodies of victims of the Lamu County attacks at Pangani, about fifteen kilometres from Mpeketoni town.
The bodies are believed to be those of drivers of hijacked vehicles used by gunmen during the attack on Sunday that left 49 people dead.
Police said a suspect, Salim Dyana, who was arrested on Wednesday led them to the location where they discovered the bodies.
On Thursday morning, paramilitary GSU officers were searching through nearby Boni forest, where some of the attackers are believed to be hiding.
A contingent of the security officers was brought into the area in military helicopters in the early morning to hunt for the gunmen who attacked the town on Sunday and followed up with another deadly raid on Monday, killing more than 60 people.
The town was relatively calm and slowly coming to life on Thursday, with some of the businesses that had been closed since the attack now open.
Top security officials, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku and Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo, were in a meeting with neighbouring Kilifi County police bosses and chiefs.
